Traffic Safety
The Clinton Police Uniform Patrol Division is responsible for collision investigations and traffic enforcement. The department's primary goal is to protect life and property through the reduction of traffic collisions by public information campaigns, educational programs, and selective enforcement in identified target areas.
The Clinton Police Department sponsors traffic safety talks and demonstrations to citizen groups and schools. Contact the Clinton Police Department Operators Commander to schedule one at 910-592-3105.
Vehicle Collision Reports
Clinton Police Department vehicle collision reports are submitted to the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) electronically usually the same day the collision is reported to the Clinton Police Department. DMV may take up to ten days before approving the report. The Clinton Police Department will only release approved reports for citizens requesting a copy.
